As one of the most biodiverse places in the world, Gunung Leuser National Park offers great opportunities for trekking and adventure. The area includes wildlife such as orangutans, gibbons, tigers, elephants, birds, and a variety of monkeys. So put on your hiking shoes and join one of our jungle treks to explore the green jungles and amazing wildlife of Sumatra.
The riverside village of Bukit Lawang is a perfect starting point for the treks.
In addition to that we offer some more outdoor activities like Rafting, a Bat Cave hike, a traditional village tour, and elephant encounters.

At Bukit Lawang Discovery we are a team of enthusiastic local guides. We all are licensed via the Indonesian Tourist Guide Association.

What we offer

Jungle Treks

Do you want to go off the beaten path and hike deep into the wild rainforest of Sumatra? Do you want to see the Sumatran orangutans in their natural habitat? Join one of our great jungle treks and explore the green jungles, amazing wildlife and wild rivers of Sumatra.

Activities

Apart from trekking, we organize other outdoor activities around Bukit Lawang: Rafting (Tubing), a Bat Cave hike, a traditional village tour, bathing of semi-wild elephants, and a wild elephant encounter trek.

Tours

Explore the beauty of North Sumatra with our multi day package tours to the volcano town of Berastagi or to Lake Toba, the largest crater lake in the world. This is an excellent way to experience the people and culture of the area. The tour includes transportation, accommodation, and a guide.

Transport

To make your trip in Sumatra more comfortable, we offer transport by private car, including driver. All our cars have air-conditioning. We serve Medan, Medan-airport, and other destinations in North Sumatra.
